The big news of the week was that we were finally able to get plane tickets for our move to Brussels. I had been waiting to confirm that our initial air shipment would be held if it arrives in Brussels before we do. We’re going to be there in time for New Year’s Eve. Google was nice enough to hook us up with a furnished apartment on the south side of town for the month of January.
In two weeks, our belongings will all be packed up and sent off to Brussels. While the 500lbs air shipment will get there at about the same time we will, the rest of it will most likely arrive mid to late February. Naturally, this all depends on how fast it moves through customs. For customs, we will need to make an itemized list of each item, and it’s approximate cost. We will begin this gargantuan task this weekend.
After 4 hours of deep cleaning, I listed my 2003 F650GS Dakar for sale. It was kinda hard to do, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to get rid of it within two weeks. The worst case plan is that I sell it on consignment at BMW Motorcycles of Atlanta.
In other news, we’ve finally selected a property management company to rent our house out, and our house is being painted on Monday. We’re nearly out of time, but I think things are coming along great!
