Worldwide Photo Walk: Buckhead

August 26th, 2008 · Comments

On Saturday, Dallas and I participated in Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walk. To celebrate the release of his new Lightroom 2 book, Scott Kelby organized a photo walk that spanned 236 locations around the world. Each location had up to 50 photographers, with the goal of taking the best photos of the world around them, competing for some very nice prizes. We went to the event in Buckhead, and spent two hours photographing everything we could.

I seem to have misplaced my quick release plates, remote, and spare tripod head, so all of the photos were taken handheld. I placed all of these in a small black lens bag that I took with me to Belgium, but I am not sure yet where the heck it went. Even without the tripod, it was possible to take some decent photos early on in the evening, such as this one I took from the Terminus building parking deck:

I don’t expect to win any prizes, but I think my wife stands a good chance at it. It was a great chance to focus on a different style of photography, and I did learn a lot. For more photos, take a look at my Buckhead Photowalk album, as well as Dallas’ Photowalk album. I look forward to participating in another walk soon!
