A murderous weekend

I saw some violent things while birdwatching this past weekend. The first is a Goose chasing away a Hawk who was busy eating a squirrel for lunch:

Then the crows knocking a baby owl out of a tree:

And a hawk dining on a fresh crow in our front yard:

Groups of crows are called ‘murders’. More photos here and here.

That hawk doesn't look too happy that you spotted him either. I didn't know about the groups of crows being called "murders". That's interesting!
