Thanksgiving Sync

November 26th, 2007 · Comments

Last week, Dallas and I headed up to Raleigh to have Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Great food, great company. Other than a few scratches from Lola, Suzanne‘s turbo-charged cat,  the trip was rather quiet. I didn’t have my camera for once (it’s broken), so Dallas filled in with her Nikon D50. The photos should be up later in the week. Anyways, even though we didn’t get back until late last night, it’s been a productive weekend:

  • Updated our home server to FreeBSD 8.0-CURRENT, which was just cut from 7.x
  • Migrated the geotoad repository to geotoad.googlecode.com, though I still have some wiki issues to get worked out.
  • Visited the Rameshori Buddhist Center. I haven’t felt so much inner peace in a long time. I will definitely return.
  • Contacted officialpayments.com to see why the Georgia State Department Of Revenue claims to not have received my 2006 Tax payment. Sigh.
  • Picked out ~30 items of clothing to donate to Goodwill
  • Dropped my RANS Rocket (for sale!) off at Roswell Bicycles to get the rear-brake cable replaced before more people test-ride it.
  • Talked lots of finances with the wife. Money sucks. We’re doing well though.
  • Applied for a high-yield (5.05%) savings account at FNBODirect
  • Ate at Goodberry’s, the world’s best frozen custard
  • Updated my wishlist – I swear I won’t buy anything on it until Christmas
