Whenever I think I’m just a little crazy, I only have to re-assure myself by reading anything written by why the lucky stiff. Sometimes, his sense of humor is so odd that I think he must be from another planet. The best part though, are the cartoons, diagrams, and completely insane clip-art usage. Take this recent introduction to
Camping: A Microframework. I must have read that article a half dozen times this morning before I understood what the heck it was talking about. The thing is, every time I read this article, I laughed at least 3 times.
That said, why the lucky stiff writes a really great guide to learning Ruby: Why’s (Poignant) Guide to Ruby. You just have to see it to believe it. I can only hope to achieve his level of lunacy when senility sets in. I do however believe that anyone who gets me to laugh at 6am in the morning is truly a genius.
